Good Mississippi Christians Can't Discriminate Against Yucky Gay Homos No More, Unfair!

Mississippi wingnuts comforting each other right now, HAHA just kidding wingnuts are not that cute.

SAD NEWS OUT OF MISSISSIPPI, if you are an unhinged conservative Christian bigot who has no friends and thinks the world revolves around you, and if you actually believe one of the greatest threats to your American Jesus Freedom way of life is homosexuals who want the same basic goods and services as everyone else. A mean-ass federal judge called Carlton Reeves has issued an injunction against Mississippi's entire gay-hatin' HB 1523! Can you believe that? He said it violates the First and 14th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Do those even apply in Mississippi?

From District Judge Carlton Reeves's ruling:

The title, text, and history of HB 1523 indicate that the bill was the State’s attempt to put LGBT citizens back in their place after Obergefell [v. Hodges]. The majority of Mississippians were granted special rights to not serve LGBT citizens, and were immunized from the consequences of their actions. LGBT Mississippians, in turn, were “put in a solitary class with respect to transactions and relations in both the private and governmental spheres” to symbolize their second-class status.

SPECIAL RIGHTS, fuckers, that's right! If gays don't get 'em (and we obviously want them, but shhhhhh!) nobody else gets 'em.

In his conclusion, Reeves told religious right weirdy-pantses where to stick their "religious freedom" arguments:

Religious freedom was one of the building blocks of this great nation, and after the nation was torn apart, the guarantee of equal protection under law was used to stitch it back together. But HB 1523 does not honor that tradition of religious freedom, nor does it respect the equal dignity of all Mississippi's citizens. It must be enjoined.

And on top of being enjoined, it should be YA BURNT. Like, the paper it is written on, set it on fire.

[wonkbar][/wonkbar]Earlier this week, that very same meany judge blocked the part of the law that gave Kim Davis-type clerks the RELIGIOUS FREEDOM! to refuse to issue marriage licenses (i.e. Do Their Jobs) to the gays, if they sincerely believe Jesus will roast them on a spit in hell for doing so.

[wonkbar][/wonkbar]And now he has gone and ruint it all. As we 'splained when HB 1523 passed, the law is bugfuck C-R-Z-Y. Aside from the gay homosexuals, it allowed sincere wingnut believers to discriminate against fornicators and re-marriers and adulterers, and whoever else they wanted to cast the first stone at that day.

It gave adoption agencies the freedom to discrimination against yucky gays (NOT LEGAL); made sure Christian cake-bakers, candlestick makers and poets YES WE SAID POETS wouldn't be forced to re-crucify Jesus by providing services for gay weddings; made sure businesses could set dress codes ensuring ladies dress like ladies and boyladies dress like boyladies; oh and of course, made sure the supposed Jesus-lovers could discriminate against any transgender person in any way they want, up to but not including bodily harm, though considering Mississippi's history as a state, we're sure that part woulda ended up pretty negotiable.

And now all the fun has been destroyed, just because some self-righteous unelected lawyer in a robe thinks he knows Constitution better than the uneducated, sister-banging fuckyokels of Miss'sippi.

GODDAMMIT Y'ALL!
