There’s nothing I like more than when Hillary starts swinging her handbag at her enemies. According to the Times, yesterday she aimed right for the groin, telling a gathering at a "Women for Hillary" breakfast:
"I can tell you this: It's very hard to stop people who have no shame about what they're doing. It is very hard to tell people that they are making decisions that will undermine our checks and balances and constitutional system of government who don't care. It is very hard to stop people who have never been acquainted with the truth."There’s no indication that she then vaulted the tables and bellowed “I am Thor the Thunderslayer,” but I’d like to think that she did.
So it turns out the current White House occupants haven’t cornered the market on overplaying one's hand. The President is at his lowest approval and highest disapproval rates -- how do you think getting all red-faced and self-righteous now will affect depressed and dispirited Republicans? Actually, we think Republicans (especially those who remember the mid-90s) know exactly how hard it is "to stop people who have no shame about what they're doing." — FRED BECKER
