Martha the American Eagle is dead. Named for Rep. John Murtha, the famous Wilson Bridge eagle got hurt again the other day and had to be put to sleep.

Last time she got hurt -- attacked by an Islamofascist terrorist eagle, in fact -- she spent some time in the bald eagle hospital while her domestic partner, George, tended their two little eagle chicks. Both chicks died.

This time, the vets decided to just get it over with. Martha was executed by lethal injection late yesterday.
