NICE TIME! Scott Walker Is Sooooo Sad
Happy Nicetimes Good Morning, Wonkers! The Blue Team had another good night of special elections. We held legislative seats in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where Democrat Sandra Cano beat Clinton's 2016 margin by 15%!
?Another special election win for Democrats tonight, this time in RI #SD08. The 73-27 Dem. margin is 15 points better than Clinton did in the 2016 presidential election. https://t.co/A5Tjo6jnHy

But the bigger deal was in Wisconsin, where Democratic-backed judge Rebecca Dallet flipped a seat on the state's Supreme Court, beating Republican- and NRA-backed judge Michael Screnock by 12%! (When we are king, there will be no more judicial elections, which are BAD. But until then, we need to win them!) Note to Democrats: You want to beat a Republican like a rented mule? RUN AS AN ACTUAL LIBERAL!
Here are some more cool pictures from data dude G. Elliot Morris at The Economist. You should follow that guy!
This map — one that shows a liberal candidate winning a Wisconsin Supreme Court election by a margin 13 points larger than Hillary Clinton’s in 2016 — should really scare Republicans. Huge urban vote, relatively blue suburbs, tiny rural numbers all here and all bad for the GOP. pic.twitter.com/CoCrqst9Om

Yet more whispers of strong Democratic enthusiasm, this time in tonight’s Wisconsin Supreme Court election. Liberal candidate Dallet receiving 32% of the votes Hillary Clinton got in the 2016 presidential election. The conservative candidate won 24% of Trump votes. pic.twitter.com/TIwBWwQ5x8

And here are some tweets from Scott Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin.
Tonight’s results show we are at risk of a #BlueWave in WI. The Far Left is driven by anger & hatred -- we must counter it with optimism & organization. Let’s share our positive story with voters & win in November.

Big government special interests flooded Wisconsin with distorted facts & misinformation. Next, they'll target me and work to undo our bold reforms. We need to keep moving #WIForward & make sure a #BlueWave of outside special interest money doesn’t take us backward.

If you support our bold efforts to help families and reform government, I need your help right now. CHIP IN $5 and help us stand against the flood of outside money that is headed our way: https://t.co/sEXb5qCLyZ

Bold words from a wholly owned subsidiary of the Koch brothers! But if you wanted to run on optimism, you shouldn't have hitched your wagon to the NRA. They need people shitting their pants in fear of MS-13 Sharia Black Panther thug illegals -- it's the only way to sell more guns!
Also, why is that dipshit trying to make #BlueWave trend? He's tweeted it at least seven times in the past 24 hours -- INTERNET, how does it work?
Why exactly are Wisconsin Democrats not mounting a serious challenge to this idiot? He's up in November, and clearly Wisconsinites are in a mood to pull the lever for Democrats. Can y'all sit down over a bowl of cheese curds, pick one of the eleventy Democrats running and just get behind him or her already?
And no wonder Governor Badger Dick didn't want to hold special elections for the two vacant seats in the state lege -- with double digit swings this fall, he could lose control even if the Supreme Court doesn't order them to un-fuck their electoral districts.
Okay, the next big race to watch is the April 24 special congressional election in Arizona-08, vacated when Trent Franks was forced to resign for obeying the word of the Lord and trying to be fruitful and multiply with his staffers. Trump took the district by 21%, but this is a weird year, so who even knows what could happen! Go Hiral Tipirneni!
Take it from Scott Walker, though. THE BLUE WAVE IS COMING! We're gonna make it through this!
