Oh Hey Look At All The Billions Of Dollars Hospitals Are Saving With Obamacare

It's been a while since we reminded you that with Obamacare, everyone wins, right?

Like that one lady who was all, "Oh no, I cannot afford my cancer treatment now because of how Obamacare makes it so much more expensive!" except that Obamacare was saving her money on her cancer treatment, and she did not even have to say THANKS OBAMA! And all those folks in Oklahoma who are saving sooooo many shiny nickels on their medicine now because, that's right, Obamacare. And that one sheriff who hates Obamacare so much, he'd rather die than buy health insurance, but bleeding heart liberals are giving them their hard-earned monies to help him pay off his medical bills anyway, and that's hard-earned monies they probably only have laying around because of how they're not as dumb as their sheriff and have purchased better, cheaper health insurance, thanks to Obamacare. And then, of course, there's the federal government, which is spending less on health care costs than previously predicted, which sounds like the kind of spending cuts fiscal conservatism some political party is generally in favor of, but we can't remember who that is right now.

But we haven't brought up any of that since at least yesterday (it was yesterday), so here is another reminder for you that with Obamamcare, everyone wins:

A massive expansion of insurance programs like Medicaid and a drop in emergency room visits saved hospitals at least $7.4 billion over the last year, the Obama administration announced Monday.

With millions more people covered under ObamaCare last year, hospitals faced fewer bills from patients who lacked insurance and were unable to pay. Hospitals also saw fewer emergency room visits, which rack up far higher costs and often leave hospitals with the tab.

Huh and gee whiz and no one could have predicted (except for everyone who isn't A Idiot totally did predict) that fewer people would rely on rushing to the hospital for their basic health care needs if they could just figure out some way -- like, say, access to affordable health insurance, maybe? -- to just go see a doctor when they need to see a doctor like someone who lives in an industrialized nation that always prides itself on having The Best Health Care System IN THE WORLD!

So, let's see. Individuals are winning by saving money. The federal government is winning by saving money. Now hospitals are winning by saving money. Basically, everyone is winning with Obamacare -- except for Republicans because of how they were so hoping Obamacare would fail and they'd be able to say, "See, we told you so? Give us the White House!" And they are really sick and tired of hearing about how nope, that's not what's happened, in fact, it's just the opposite. But other than them, everyone wins.  Oh, sure, there's always the chance the Supreme Court could make the whole thing fall apart because of a drafting error, so there's still hope. Seems like a fair enough deal.
