Bastards. Indifference/incompetence in the "health services industry" is brutal. Requiring people who struggle to be their own advocates is a special kind of cruelty. I hope it resolves in an acceptable manner!

The brain zaps are intolerable - I had real trouble driving. I got mine from _taking_ Paroxetine (Paxil), not withdrawing from it, and over time after I quit, they went away. I sympathize. On the good side, I found when I got into my fifties (or maybe a bit earlier) that the terrible depression spells eased up, so I could quit medicating and not get those three-day stretches of complete shut-down, I don't know if that's a widespread phenomenon, but there may be hope. Of course, if it's a testosterone-mediated thing, probably not so much for the wimminfolk amongst us, but who knows?
