The Scottish wildcats are not going extinct by hunting or disease or anything, they readily breed with domestic cats so genetically they are going extinct or at least the full blooded wildcat is going to be gone sooner or later. Australia has a similar issue going on with the Dingo population there, its not under any threat of extinction by man but rather its mixing with domestic dogs and its creating a population of Dingos that is less and less genetically Dingo as the generations go on.
That is an intensely beautiful image. It kinda makes me wanna turn into A Ghey just a little bit. Or at least have those two lovely gentlemen as my A Ghey Unkles. Or A Ghey Nekst Dohr Jim Nabors. (Yeah, I'll stop now.)
But seriously, thank you Dominic. That is just a wonderful representation of the human spirit (and just a great photograph, really excellent composition) and gives me just a little bit of hope. I'm stupid that way.
I just went and watched the thing about the Brazilian election. I want to wax prophetic and predict that mounds of evidence will be bared. I'm sure the prosecutors will make the charges stick fast and rip those bad actors right out of government. They're caught by the short hairs!

I was just so used to seeing therapy dogs around the cancer center that that story caught my eye. Kids aren't the only ones with compromised immune systems....
