We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. San Francisco, did you know you've been added to the Wonkette Wonkebago Fall 2015 Itinerant Panhandling Tour and Grifterthon? Las Vegas, join us Sunday (tomorrow? today?), Oct. 25, at the Summerlin, Nevada, home of Wonkers Frances and Don, and we gonna burn this mother down. Or not. You know, there are kids around. (Bring yours too!) Anyway, help us while away the heat of the afternoon and grill foods with us and drink our beers and kiss us on our mouths, because we love you, you sexy beasts. 2-7 p.m., 3258 Velvet Rose St., Las Vegas NV 89135 blah blah.
Not sure if you can park the Wonkebago there, but there's now an actual Dept. of the Interior campground in the city limits of San Francisco, over in the Presidio.
w00T! SF! may I submit el rio for consideration: points in favor: it's impeccable vibe, outdoor seating, many seats and 4 blocks from the BART. points against: I suggested the sycamore last year so it's /yet another/ hip, friendly LGBTQ+ spot with solid pours. They also have a paid-door event HARD FRENCH- Hard Dancing. Hard Cruising. until 8pm that evening, and I don't know when the sun passes the yardarm for everyone else so that might be disqualifying. There's also a lot of great bars all over the Castro: the classy old Twin Peaks bar is right at the end of the classy old F line on Market, Moby Dicks has a margarita smoothie machine, but it's more of a bar-hopping scene there.IMO, the "hipsters" (quotes used ironically) in the Mission/Valencia corridor have the hold on the best drinking/convocating places in the city. You can find some others in SOMA, like 21st amendment brewery, but then you're deep in tech-land, far from reasonable public transportation.
There's also Bernal Heights, which has the BEST mornings; you can see the entire city, and sometimes the sunrise over the distant mountains through the fog; there's a Phil'z just down the hill that opens at 6AM, too. People park their buses and RVs up there all the time: https://goo.gl/maps/7jmDxep... That part of the park is quiet, but people are climbing the up other side to drink and look over the city pretty much all night.
The presido is pretty cool tho; you can look at the bridge and the Marin Headlands. Of course, if you have gone that far, just come on over to Marin; we've got LOTS of camping spots here =]
You know what ELSE could be called a Great Red Shark?
pussy.
Donald Trump? Wait, I thought I read Shart.
Ask her how, silly.
Great place. I am 400 miles away, but may be sending a clone.

No Phoenix? It's an easy jig from San Diego, and I would bake a nice cake.
Jerry Tarkanian if his hair was red?

I take hikes over the geological rupture that is Point Reyes whenever I want to get away from cell/internet... just gorgeous there and so close!
Please come east of the Mississippi. Those of us in the Midwest need you!!
The food here is actually better than that in the city, which is saying a lot
Messina? My daughter is overseeing a super fund site there.
