It's been a whole two days since the complete destruction of the Obama Regime, so of course that means it's time to get ready for the 2016 presidential campaign.
Have we made mistakes as a nation? Of course we have. Should we tell anyone about it? No. Don't mention it at all. Why learn the parts of history that are bad? How can you become an unapologetic nationalist, if you learn there might be things somewhere in history to apologize for? We cannot afford a toxic patriotism gap with North Korea! China isn't apologetic about their censorship and propaganda, and look at how well they are doing fiscally!
In addition, our medical schools should teach future neurosurgeons only the good parts of the brain you can cut into, and none of the bad parts. It's a sensible plan.
Sure Ben, we can re-write certain aspects of history that are displeasing. Why don't you ask the black citizens of Tulsa about the Tulsa Riots on May 31, 1921. I'm sure they will embrace your effort.
Oh, one more thing. Google "9-9-9" because that would be an awesome method of taxing the middle class.
What would be much more empowering is to use our intellect and our resources to give those people a way up and out.
But since we're not going to give them that they'll have to settle for the welfare. Which we don't want to give them either.
Someone comes up to a lab worker. He knows he’s got the urine. “How would you like to have a million dollars?” A little transaction there … Such things have been known to happen.
That's how Boogie Fever was first unleashed on the world.

That's fucking weird. That is a really weird statement. This knowledge of pee purchases, it just sounds odd that you say 'such things have been known to happen.' Like how would YOU know this? And if I follow my instincts here, as it would be irresponsible NOT to speculate: You been buying pee, Doctor? So, what do you need pee for, Ben Carson? Are you pals with Todd Starnes? Do they random drug-test neurosurgeons or something? That is just a fucking weird ass statement, R. Kelly.
Dr. Ben Carson is a brilliant neurosurgeon who did groundbreaking work. That has to be acknowledged. The man deserves respect. With that being said I cannot find anything that I agree with in his statements concerning the political issues of the day. I think he has a faulty read on most matters discussed here. I don't think that the political statements quoted here would be so terribly wrong if they were based on accurate assessments of the situations that he talks about. Sadly, they are not in my opinion. Judging from these statements he sounds like a pretty mainstream conservative. As such my differences with him, although quite substantial, aren't nearly as stark as they are with most of the folks on the right who are discussed on this site.
I'll admit that I am more familiar with his medical career and less familiar with his stint as a right wing pundit. So you might be right there and I realize that I may not be as well-informed as I should be.
There is nothing keeping intelligent people from a) refusing to acknowledge weakness when it is readily apparent to everyone else, nor b) being absolutely bugfuck nuts.
Hoover might not have gotten such a bad rap (he would still have been incompetent, but not utterly feckless) if Silent Cal hadn't done so much damage.
You know, unlike any other Harvard MBA Presidents we might mention.
That's his business model. If he was a podiatrist, he would wear steel-toed boots and stomp on peoples feet.
Glenn Beck ?

When we robbed Dr. Ben's mother of her incentive to go out there and improve herself, we were not doing her any favors.
And it's not a big distraction at all, to the job hunt or while sitting in the classroom, when you're hungry and cold...

Wow. There's a movie I'm never watching.

Can Dr. Carson be sued for political malpractice?
Asking for a friend.
Can I play clarinet on the punitive bandwagon?
I'd waiver on my opposition to Christie if he told Carson to sit down and shut up during one of the debates.
