5th Period: Plato's Retreat

We had no idea that famous NYC sex club Plato's Retreat looked so much like a high school drama class. Guess the Beautiful People were at Studio 54 that night. Also missing: John Bolton. Larry Flynt's allegation that the aspiring diplomat used to haunt the wild sin-trap never seemed to get past the larval stage, which in retrospect, isn't that surprising: the Socratic method doesn't really seem like Bolton's style. Still, his absence is no reason not to celebrate the quaint, homey innocence of an era where liberated grannies preyed on dudes in gigantic bowties, and leopard-print manties represented the cutting edge of urban kink.
