Ex San Franciscan here. As I said to a friend, "that's the Gav I love to hate". Gavin ... kind of has always lived in this world.

Except for that though I think he's been a good gov in the panini. In early days I was VERY pleasantly surprised.

These are the ones in the Dunning-Kruger study who not only didn't know how little they knew, they still didn't know anything after their deficiencies were pointed out. (It should be noted that many of the low-score/thought -I-did-great group did learn to do better. Of course, Dunning and Kruger were working with college students, not Republican voters.)
