A Wonkette Guest Post By Debbie Schlussel About Gross Sean Hannity, Because That Is A Thing That's Happening Right Now

OH MY DARLINGS! Shit just got FUN up at Ye Olde Wonkette!

In our latest piece on Sean Hannity's VERY MANY TRUMP LAWYERS, we talked about how Hannity had used head Trump Russia lawyer Jay Sekulow and Trump Lawyer For Five Minutes Victoria Toensing to fire off a letter to a Tulsa radio station to CEASE AND DESIST wingnut Muslim-hatin' lady Debbie Schlussel from telling the story of that time Sean Hannity tried to get his grossness all over her and lure her back to his hotel room. In that piece, we said we guessed the letter worked, because Schlussel had walked her claims back soon after. According to Schlussel's story about Hannity, which she told Tulsa radio host Pat Campbell -- the title of the segment is "Debbie Schlussel Accuses Sean Hannity Of Sexual Harassment" -- he asked her MULTIPLE times to come back to his hotel, she was treated "horribly" on his program, and after that, he blacklisted her. Schlussel's words:

... after that, I wasn’t booked on a show again. And he called me and yelled at me. It was made clear to me that I didn’t go back to his hotel with him after and all this other stuff, and I got a very weird feeling about the whole thing, and I kind of knew I wouldn’t be back on his show.

In response, Sean Hannity HUFFED AND PUFFED and released a statement saying he had "retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country" (hahahahah was he talking about Sekulow and Toensing? LOLOLOL) to make Schlussel shut up and go away, because she is a "serial harasser" and a liar and a slanderer!

Wonkette updated its original post on that when Schlussel gave an interview to LawNewz, in which she APPEARED to walk back what she had said:

“I would never accuse him of that. Sexual harassment has a special meaning under the law, and I would never accuse him of that,” Schlussel, an attorney herself, said. Schlussel said the interaction happened in the early 2000’s when Hannity was in Detroit taping a show […]

“I never thought I was sexually harassed by Sean Hannity, I thought he was weird and creepy not someone I liked,” Schlussel said.

FAIR ENOUGH. Maybe other people put the "sexual harassment" label on it, when that is not what she originally meant at all! We are certainly down for a story about how Sean Hannity is a weird, creepy, generally unlikable assclown! Indeed, at the time, Wonkette noted that Schlussel was disputing media reports calling it "sexual harassment," and in Wonkette's post yesterday, we did not use the phrase "sexual harassment." In fact, we used the more descriptive phrase, "grossed all over her and tried to lure her to his hotel room," which still seems right to us, unless Schlussel's definition of "grossed all over" is far narrower than ours.

So there is your background! You ready for the fun part? Because WONKETTE GOT EMAIL from Debbie Schlussel, who takes issue with how we believed some "prevaricating bitch" from LawNewz when she said Debbie Schlussel had walked her shit back, and who REALLY takes issue with our "guess" (that's what we said, "we guess") that the lawyer letter to the radio station had done some magic sorcery that made Schlussel "walk back" her claims.

Unfortunately, Rachel Stockman of Dan Abrams' LawNewz and Law And Crime, who is dying to be on FOX News, made up that claim and lied about what I said, which is why I'd never talk to her again. She's a prevaricating bitch. Every other reporter who actually talked to me (something you also declined to do, in favor of being a typical lemming and repeating the BS story) got it right. So sorry you were too damned lazy to contact me yourself and discern the truth. It's not that difficult.

Pursuant to Michigan defamation law, please correct the story to reflect this and post a correction/retraction of that portion. If you actually think the clowns Sekulow and Toensing would scare me into anything, you have a very vivid imagination.

I stand by everything I originally said about Sean Hannity and have never "walked back" or "retracted" a thing because it was and is all true.

And we are more than happy to run it in full, our only edit being how weBOLD PRINTEDthe part where she called Jay Sekulow a "moron" and called Victoria Toensing an "empty hag," because that is LOLOLOL. Honestly, we are madly in love with the whole thing, and if Schlussel wasn't so scarily weird about Muslims (and toward the late Maya Angelou!) and weren't so generally terrible in one million other ways, we'd be tempted to ask if we can adopt her has our pet Right Wing Nut Job. They say there's good in all people, and this email is where the "good" exists in Debbie Schlussel. Who knew!

Ms. Schlussel, you have our deepest (and sincere!) apologies for blindly repeating the DEBUNKED LIE that you "walked back" your statements about Sean Hannity being a gross nasty motherfucker. We tend to agree! And as to how we didn't call you for comment, our only defense is that we are a mere long-suffering blogger who churns out four posts a day and tries our damnedest to get it right each and every time, but we still fuck up once in a while. And when we do, we fix it!

Therefore, RETRACT! RETRACT! RETRACT!
