Also Franken was quietly just as enthused about letting Glencore put a copper mine upstream of Lake Superior (because then Antofagasta would be so impressed with our lack of NIMBYism they’d leave the Boundary Waters alone...or something?), so he would’ve screwed my town just as badly as Smith and Klobuchar with the whole land swap amendment thing.
