So, much like the child separation policy, we can assume this announcement that the policy is ending doesn’t mean they’re going to stop trying to deport sick kids. They’re just going to look for some other justification for it.
They other thing that reeks of Obersturmbanfuehrer Miller is the way (or lack thereof) it was rolled out. No advanced warning. No public comment period. No communication with the agencies involved. Just quietly sending deportation notices to these people in the hopes that it’ll stay under the radar.
You can bet any irregularities in the paperwork will be used as an excuse to kick them out. If they or their family members get so much as a parking ticket, they’re out.
