Trump thinks exactly like my older brother when he was a child and teenager (possibly even now, who knows). I can even hear the argument we would have had:

ME: But they were proven innocent, they were coerced.

HIM: It doesn't matter, they confessed.

ME: They were kids, they were terrified

HIM: then why did they confess if they were innocent? if I were innocent, I wouldn't ever confess.

ME: But they proved it wasn't them, somebody else confessed, too.

HIM: They still confessed, that makes them guilty, they should ALL be executed.

ME: But we KNOW they didn't do it.

HIM: Then they shouldn't have confessed.

He would dig his heels in over the confession. Confession = Guilty, no take backs, ever.

He's also the type who would think it's "unfair" to let cannabis convictions disappear after legalization. "They still committed the crime!" He's very much a stickler for other people obeying rules, especially rules he has no interest in breaking.

Oh the Trash took himself out in this instance. He got his secret girlfriend pregnant, and moved to CA giving the entire family the middle finger on his way out of town.

Dad still tries to contact him, but all he gets is venom and bile.

Project 2025 (yes, I read it) calls not only for "finalizing" the sentences of federal death row prisoners quickly (by which they mean killing them soon, except they won't say it like that), its authors also think it would be awesome to kill alleged perpetrators of child abuse and drug crimes...

You know, because we as a nation have such a great fucking track record when it comes to handling (defining, especially) what is a drug crime.

Not like *those* laws have remained unchanged since the Founders.

They enjoy ominous euphemisms. They are euphemisms, but the intent of the expression is clear. It's like when the CIA man in "Apocalypse Now" says in reference to Colonel Kurtz "terminate with extreme prejudice."

(Late to the party, but...)

"My opinion on the settlement of the Central Park Jogger case is that it’s a disgrace. A detective close to the case, and who has followed it since 1989, calls it “the heist of the century.”"

That was then (oh, btw, would the unnamed detective care to come out and claim that statement?) and this is now. The absolute "heist of the century" has been running for about seven years now, nonstop. I'm referring to the merch being sold, and the pleadings for helping keep the country free -- $5, $10 or $20 will help immeasurably, we are being overwhelmed by the Fulvous Flatulence puts out there.

Since being so ignominiously booted from office (no, I don't get it either since "Sir" is so universally loved by the American people, by multitudes around the world, and even some people who died before he was born) the Amber Ardipithecus ramidus has been receiving Wingnut Welfare directed to whichever is his preferred recipient of the week, one of his personal piggy banks, i.e. a defense fund to cover his growing legal fees, to whichever MAGA PAC strikes his fancy, or to the RNC. He really doesn't care because cash is cash, and cash is fungible.

But the Sandstone Syphilis' real side hustle is his merch.

* The Rubes lined up, and continue to line up for the chance to buy a pair of gold High Tops and other outrageously priced kicks (https://gettrumpsneakers.com/).

* Jared Kushner's memoir states that the 2016 campaign sold *80,000* hats a day (https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/world/news/trump-campaign-made-80000-a-day-selling-maga-hats-jared-kushner-says/articleshow/93232628.cms), imagine the numbers sold today, and at a considerably higher price. (Although this might be slowing down since there only so many pinheads who would want one probably already have two or three, and the MAGA [bowel] movement isn't doing well at attracting new blood -- unpoisoned of course.)

* When the 1st set of trading cards was released sales were at a rapid pace. I think this is the original vendor in '22, IDK, can't confirm because never was into Xitter, and as long as Elmo the Man-child holds a single share I won't even consider it (probably a moot point since I'm in my latter 70s): https://x.com/collecttrump?lang=en

* Those who consumed too much Kool-Aid from a faux crystal punchbowl with a yuge orange turd floating in it must be in Seventh Heaven with the release of a new set cards -- both hard copy *and* NFTs available (crypto gladly accepted). I just can't imagine the thrill that must run up their respective legs at the thought of owning a piece of the suit worn at the debate where he pounded Sleepy Joe into submission and changed the course of history if you're willing to fork over enough money. https://collecttrumpcards.com/ If you're a tight ass who squeezes a penny until Lincoln cries, and not willing to show proper respect to the MAGA oberster Fuhrer there's this: https://www.amazon.com/Donald-Trump-Trading-Cards-Collectibles/dp/B0C7DD818Q.

* Etc. Etc. Etc. As long as he can figure another scam the Goldenrod Grotesqueness will play it out.

Props where props are due. The Dull Orange Depends-wearing Dullard is a carney at heart; he can rope in the Rubes, fleece them out of everything they have in their pockets, and get them to leave with a smile on their faces and a happy feeling in their heart.

Why did he say Bloomberg agreed with him? It was in the 90s.

In part because he is a consistent pathological liar

In part because Bloomberg has never said otherwise

(which latter, in the context of the "good Germans" who looked the other way during the Holocaust and the ongoing malignant narcissism of systemic racism in the United States that presents itself in Congressional and state-level Republicans who follow his lead and attempt to kill as many people of color as possible and obstruct the right to vote and attempt to steal all resources from the rest (if you're not familiar with Edward Blum and the lawsuits his hand-picked plaintiffs put in front of this fascist SCOTUS perhaps it might be useful to take some time to be), might be something to think about https://planamag.com/white-supremacy-is-systemic-narcissism/ )

Dump thinks that apologizing and admitting being wrong is weak, but the opposite is true. Strong people admit when they are wrong, apologize, and do what they can to make things right. He is incapable of any of that. He's pathetic.

I would wager Trump sees The Central Park Five as the Backstreet Boys of bigoted crime fear mongering. In his mind they were never people but stand-ins for imaginary white racist retribution. So when confronted with one he either registers said person as The Easter Bunny or his caddy so his brain defaults to the latter.
