Ahmadinejad's Letter, Summed Up
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, seen here in Patrick Kennedy's psyche, composes a follow-up letter that gets to the point a little faster. (Getty)
TheWall Street Journalhas the full text of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's letter to President Bush, and damn -- the thing is almost 20 pages long! Did he actually expect Bush to read it?USA Todayis too wordy for the guy, he's not gonna wade through 18 single-spaced pages of text without infographics!
But if we had to put it into executive summary form (having skimmed the first few pages), we think it should be headlined: Iran Determined to Write Lengthy Letter to the Editor.
The letter's a lot of fun, 'cause everyone gets to use it to tar their political opponents as theocratic anti-Semitic traitors or something. The parts about going to war under false pretenses and "you call yourself a Christian" sound like a Kos diary and the bits about liberalism having failed and the world "flocking towards a main focal point that is the Almighty God" sound like the 700 Club! Everyone's an anti-American threat to world stability!
