Too many chicken-hawk Civvies shouting that any attempt at civilian control of the military/police is "An attack on OUR COUNTRY'S ARMED FORCES!!!eleven1!!" Seriously, can you imagine Obama, or any Democrat for that matter, looking into something like this?

I'm not certain, but I think to get a DD you have to be court-martialed, which is, you know, a semi-public event. The other-than-honorable (I assume this is what they used to call a "general") discharge, is for when you want someone to go away without publicity.

Of course, in this case it doesn't appear to have taken.

At the risk of further souring relations, can we just <i>give</i> Alaska back to Russia? (Then maybe Mexico might consider taking back Texas.)
