A friend of mine had this reaction:

"This isn't forgiveness or christianity. This is conditioning. That black cop who shot that white woman from Australia got 40 years. No hugs. The judge didn't give him his personal Bible. This "forgiveness" only cost an innocent black man his life while eating ice cream in his house. Check her texting history. A Mother Theresa she is not. She'll be paroled in 5 years, prolly less. POC are always expected to forgive the heinous actions of racists, as if we're all Bagger Vance. I'm not that big of a person. Not sorry."

I've gone through so many emotions about this and I've arrived at the same conclusion. Black people have got to stop apologizing for being murdered by cops.

Chief Renee Hall has launched an official investigation into the Dallas Police Association for interfering in the investigation. Now they're after her, which they have been since she, as an African American woman, doesn't represent their redneck "values".

The only reason this ever came to trial is because our DA and Jean's family wouldn't let it go away. Good for them.
