Americans Love the Way Bush Handling Something

A new USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows that 48% of Americans approve of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president. But when the poll-takers asked respondents if they approved or disapproved of the way President Bush is handling six specific issues, the results weren't as good. On the low end, only 27% approved of the way he's handling gas prices. On the high end, 45% approved of the way he's handling foreign affairs. And his average approval rating for these six specific issues? Just 37%, or 11 percentage points lower than his overall approval ratings. So obviously Bush is handling something in a way that people absolutely love; it's just not clear what. Our own opinion: We strongly approve of 83% of the faces he makes at town hall meetings.
