Consider, for a moment, a theory: America's true divide isn't one of ideology, but of temperament. That on the one side you have people who think having empathy and being a nice person is good, and then on the other, you have people who think being an awful, belligerent bully is an admirable and lovely thing to be. Like some kind of alternate universe except that we are, you know, sharing the same universe.
It may seem a tad extreme, but it would do something to explain not only our president, but also how on earth anyone could have looked at Brett Kavanaugh giving his testimony and not felt deeply repulsed and horrified in the very depths of their soul. And yet, many of them exist. Like Tucker Carlson, who last night declared Kavanaugh a "folk hero" to people who are sick and tired of being told what to do (ie: don't try to rape anyone!) by their "moral inferiors" (ie: people who don't go around trying to rape anyone).
Transcript via Media Matters :
At this point Kavanaugh isn't just a Supreme Court nominee. He is a folk hero to many people, an inspiration to millions. People who have spent the last two years being browbeaten and bullied by their moral inferiors were buoyed by what he said yesterday. These are people who have been told they're worthless and bigoted. They have been unfairly maligned because they are in the way of other people gaining power. They've been commanded to shut up and obey. Kavanaugh stood up to those people yesterday. He raised a middle finger to the tormentors. And they love him for it.
Let us all take a moment and be deeply grateful that we are not those people. Because WOW, are they ever terrible.
But let's think about this for a moment, shall we? These people, Carlson claims, are very upset that we think they are assholes. "How can this be?" they hypothetically wonder. And then they look upon the ragey Sam Eagle face of Brett Kavanaugh, a man accused of sexual assault, and go "Oh, thank goodness! A hero has come to save us all!"
Beyond anything else, do they think Kavanaugh, or their thinking Kavanaugh is great and fabulous is going to make any of us, their "moral inferiors," go "Wow, I guess these people have been unfairly maligned after all! Consider our minds changed! No way any of you are assholes." Because if he were truly worthy of the title "folk hero," that is exactly how we would react.
You know who else thinks of Brett Kavanaugh as a hero? Incels! In a post on the incels.me forum highlighted by David Futrelle of We Hunted The Mammoth, the internet's worst humans went all "Gooble gobble gooble gobble we accept him, one of us" on Kavanaugh, who declared earlier this week that he was a virgin throughout high school and long after and raged at the women who wouldn't "open their legs" for him.
I think his strategy now is to say, "I was a good beta male; I waited my turn all those years while alphas were having sex all around me, so I should get credit for that!" But they won't give him credit for it. They're going to treat him like a sexual aggressor rather than patting him on the head and saying, "Good boy," as he was expecting. It's probably going to severely mindfuck him for awhile by destroying his bluepilled conception of how the world works.
He probably believed that he was being smarter and more virtuous than other guys by waiting till he was 39, and then getting with a 29-year-old chick who had fucked enough badboys to be able to contrast them with him and appreciate his willingness to commit to her. He thought, "See, all through college I ignored those stupid young girls, who didn't see the value I offered; and now I get the reward of marrying this older chick who's wise and mature enough to love me for who I am."
But it turns out that those chicks who didn't want to open their legs to him back in high school and college STILL are trying to fuck him over by making false accusations.
Yes, that's all very normal. As is this, though honestly I'm not even sure what it means.
When will the attacks fucking end. I've never done anything wrong in my entire life. Juvenile? Chad shits in her mouth. They deserve death. I'm being a good person for proclaiming it.
Oh my yes, a very good person indeed. A mensch, even.
The Kavanaugh hearings have been described as a Rorschach test, but it's not a Rorschach test for political differences -- it wouldn't matter what Brett Kavanaugh stood for or believed in or whether or not he was guilty. To them, the only thing that even matters is that he is an asshole, and this is something they happen to find appealing, because they are also assholes.

Brett Kavanaugh Now A 'Folk Hero' To America's Worst Humans.
Brett will never fuck you, you know. No matter how much you drool on him.
Buhbye, wingnut trash.
If only the pure garbage, left-wing, nutcase trash could realize how unworthy of an opinion on anything they really are? Surely they don't actually think they still matter? Not when they've been thoroughly and completely rejected at the ballot box and the polls? How could anyone be that Dumb? Perhaps a Mentor of sorts is what they so desperately need. Someone they could look up to. Someone of such intellectual genius and character they could be inspired. Someone of such moral integrity, decency and honesty as to be above reproach. You know? Like BRETT KAVANAUGH!
