I don't disagree with that in theory, but the logistics of it (finding and matching the jobs) and the law of unintended consequences concern me.

If the payback could be done using jobs that are needed but extremely hard to fill (rural doctors, etc) that could do some good. It could be tried out as a limited program first.

I was impressed with what I've seen of Klobuchar and I didn't notice any sneering--just a difference of opinion. And most of her opinions are progressive. One of her strengths is that she's a pragmatist. Dems shouldn't promise impossible things or expect major, instant changes. There is nothing wrong with realism as long as you persist in working on the big goals.

I doubt she'll be my top choice, but my resolution until Trump is gone is to never undermine any Dem candidate. We'll get enough of that from the Repubs and the Russians. In fact, it appears to have already started with lies about Warren owning a blackface doll, whether Harris is "black enough," etc.
