It's been a week since Chattanooga, so we were due for another mass shooting. This time it was a white guy with a gun in a Lafayette, Louisiana movie theater, who shot two women dead and injured nine Thursday night before attempting to flee the theater; when he saw police coming, he killed himself.
Those policies clearly make too much sense but such policies would emasculate Cletus and Jim Bob while lowering gun make profits so nope, we'd rather have 30,000 deaths per year because reasons, yee haw!
A couple of years ago, I was getting some lunch at a small plaza and I heard something popping noises while walking across the parking lot to a store. It sounded like some small fireworks to me, but it was winter time and didn't make sense. Then I saw someone ducking behind a car (I originally thought they were checking their tire pressure), when it all occurred to me what had actually happened. I never found out of the source of the noise, or what the intended target was. But I did realize that I was just casually strolling around during the gun shots, and could have been hit by a stray bullet. I never went back to that area for lunch again.
They're fairly simple machines, albeit with fine tolerances. If you're into the beauty of machines, cars are much better.
I've shot lots of guns and I never got the power feeling, probably because I grew up around guns and if you follow the safety rules they're pretty boring.
I still suspect people who are into guns have subconscious sociopathic tendencies. At they very least, they're thinking about killing people even if they know it's an undesirable possibility... it's that very possibility that imparts the feeling of power.
Noooo.....we should have 2A Patriots patrolling the aisles with ther 2A dildos monitoring all of us for hostile intent. Because owning a gun makes you a little deputy!
From the NYTimes right now:A criminal complaint was later filed accusing Mr. Houser of vandalizing the house, including pouring cement into the plumbing, and tampering with gas lines in a way that could have started fires. The buyer of the house, Norman Bone, and his daughter, Beth, and her boyfriend, Dan Ramsel, described what Mr. Houser had done as booby-trapping the house, and said his rampage required more than a year of repairs. They said he destroyed many of its fixtures, dumped hundreds of fish into the swimming pool, and left human feces and cement throughout the house, where he once flew the Confederate battle flag.

He seems nice.

There was one guy in CA who was trying hard to skew the stats. http://crooksandliars.com/2...
"hated Israel's evil"
Yeah... I'm an anti-Zionist who supports a one-state solution, but dude, that's crossing the line right into anti-Semitism.
Isn't there some way we can pass a law that will deny the sale and/or possession of guns by lone wolves?
I picture multiplexes filled with Barney Fifes.
And everyone forgets that, until the 1970's, only one state allowed private citizens to carry loaded weapons of their property.
So, he's a liberal Democrat, right?
They are actually floating that one in the nuttosphere.
It's times like this that I question whether I want to remain in this country.
