"Pregnant's a voluntary act between two consenting adults"
I don't feel it would even be dignified to address the idiocy of Mr. Halloran's comment or what it may suggest about Mr. Halloran, but I do want to note that - as one of those Republicans likely upset about pronouns - he might at least learn how to distinguish between an adjective and a noun.
I got my tubes tied after my second child was born, within just a few hours. It was literally one of the best decisions I, as a woman, ever made. Now I feel incredibly lucky I even got to make that decision, much less at 27.
Okay.
I am having a bit of a chuckle, as RW women state legislators, watch and listen to their RW male colleagues bray their straight up Handmaids BS.
And they are just now, reacting in horror and disgust.
It’s a cynical chuckle, but a chuckle nontheless.
Ta, Robyn. I'll say it once more (probably a lot more than once more):
If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament
I'm glad Ron DeSantis hasn't come to the same realization.
Good thing you weren't at a Catholic hospital.

I thought their "personal responsibility" trope was the reason not to pass laws and regulations.

Yeah, I think they realize they are turning off the public and will lose even more.
Yeah, they won't let a lot of women today make it too young or without the PERMISSION of their spouse.
Consent to sex and consent to pregnancy and childbirth are two different things. Do I have to keep saying this?
No, because Republicans won't hear it no matter how many times you say it.
He meant 'Pregnant C'. "C" is for consent.
Often without the permission of their hypothetical spouse, whom they may not even have met yet.
No wonder he left it off; Republicans so often do.
