For what it's worth, recall Justice O'Connor (a Reagan SCOTUS appointee) writing, in the majority opinion in Frisby v. Schultz (1988) unholding a midwest city's ordinance prohibiting the picketing of an Ob/GYN's home, that "[T]here is simply no right to force speech into the home of an unwilling listener." The municipality in which Aletheia does its business would therefore be well within precedent were it to pass its own ordinance under which such misbehavior, which not only violates the victims' right not to be leafletted in this way but also arguably constitutes an incitement to mayhem in the bargain, could be punished severely with fines, imprisonment, or both. Of course, it requires a modicum of courage, a commodity in rather short supply right now; but then so did defeating the Rebs and the Nazis the first time around. High time we all stood up for the people's "right to be let alone,' as Justices Brandeis and Brennan nicely put it.
The sad thing is that it would never even occur to the people in her milieu. She has a PhD in English, which of course gives her as much authority as anyone at Liberty U to render a medical opinion.
Karen "Swallow Prior." Bwahahahahaha. Juvenile response of me, I know. But I can't help it. And when the Genital Monitors of America have such appropriate names, how can I help but laugh? BTW, is there such a thing as a "real" professor at a "fake" university?
These wackos want to outlaw contraception, not just abortion. In 2012, the Atlantic published this hair-splitting piece about whether birth control pills prevent fertilization or implantation (who cares, really?) Initially I thought it was an Onion article - the author's name is Karen Swallow Prior. But she seems to be a "real" professor at Liberty University. https://www.theatlantic.com...
Those of us who insist on a woman's autonomous reproductive rights need a better way to frame/name the "anti-choice" dingbats. While being called "anti-choice" about anything would likely offend any progressive woman, the phrase/label doesn't seem to me, a penis-haver, to impart an urgency or automatic negative connotation that befits this issue.
You are evil, I like that in an ally. ; )

Remember those T-shirts that used to say "U.S. out of Central America?" I used to have one that said "U.S. out of my uterus."

Always happy to contribute to the vernacular!
Tee hee on the "pious penis." I am so stealing that.

I think I ought to start a Pro-Choice group called, "Operation GTFO of MY Uterus."

Not surprising. A lot of these people also believe that condoms only increase the chances that you will get pregnant.
Yup
Strawberries don’t run away or spear you with antlers
Yeah, be a shame if one of the cheapies broke off and they needed a medical procedure. Maybe a waiting period?

Look it up yourself.
It was a rhetorical question, wasn't it?
