Anti-Choice Texans Want To Murder To Death Any Woman Who Commits Abortion
Putting the 'state-sanctioned murder' in 'pro-life.'
The death penalty is already pretty gross. The only way you could make it grosser would be if some asshole proposed the state-sanctioned killings of women who have abortions. And we've found one! The asshole in question is Republican Tony Tinderholt. The Texas state representative authored House Bill 948 , or the "Abolition of Abortion in Texas Act." The bill wouldn't just ban abortion but would treat the medical procedure as criminal homicide, which can get you a lethal injection in Texas. Tindherholt believes this is the only way women will learn.
TINDERHOLT: Right now, it's real easy. Right now, they don't make it important to be personally responsible because they know that they have a backup of "oh, I can just go get an abortion." Now, we both know that consenting adults don't always think smartly sometimes. But consenting adults need to also consider the repercussions of the sexual relationship that they're gonna have, which is a child.
It's shocking that a man, with all his personal, firsthand experience in the subject, would think that abortion is "easy" for a woman or something they consider a "backup," like when students apply to the University of Texas.
Tinderholt filed HB 948 in 2017. The bill would make no exception for rape or fetal abnormalities because he's a monster. Tinderholt received death threats at the time and was placed under state protection. We don't support amateur death threats in answer to legislative death threats. We're just not as Old Testament as Tinderholt or the supporters of the measure who turned out this week to rant about "genocide" and "God's wrath." They insist that lawmakers pass HB 948 already so they can get busy hanging witches and protecting the unborn, who they want to grow up to later be hanged as witches.
Republican-controlled states are hankering to challenge Roe v. Wade because they believe Donald Trump's Supreme Court will swing things their way. Now's the perfect time to make women state-owned breeding machines. Hundreds of people testified about how awesome Gilead could be during hearings Monday and Tuesday before the Texas House Committee on Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence. Nothing this vengeful lot had to say was very prudent.
"God's word says, 'He who sheds man's blood, by man — the civil government — his blood will be shed,'" said Sonya Gonnella, quoting the Book of Genesis and asking lawmakers to "repent with us."
Gonnella considers herself a "follower of the lord Jesus Christ," but Christ was reportedly far mellower than his father. Christ, who himself ran afoul of a bloodthirsty mob, suggested that we "turn the other cheek" and "stick to fishing from now on."
Texas is already moving forward on absurd "born alive" laws. However, this particularly godawful legislation remained unsettled yesterday, and even some antiabortion groups are reticent about supporting such a needlessly vindictive law. Meanwhile, Democrats were left wondering what the hell they'd just seen.
"I'm trying to reconcile in my head the arguments that I heard tonight about how essentially one is okay with subjecting a woman to the death penalty for the exact — to do to her the exact same thing that one is alleging she is doing to a child," said state Rep. Victoria Neave, a Democrat who represents part of Dallas County.
Granted, that's the moral conflict regarding the death penalty in general. It's especially vile, though, when applied to women who are making personal choicesabout their own bodies and health. It also goes without saying that Tinderholt is your typical social conservative hypocrite. He believes in the sanctity of marriage so much he's had five of them. He opposes so-called "infanticide" so strongly he wants to add attempted mothers to the death toll.
Nietzsche advised against trusting anyone "in whom the urge to punish is strong," and there's little reason to trust anyone advocating for the misogynistic horror show that's HB 948.

Is the child now eligible to vote?
I'm pretty sure abortion provider is the oldest profession.
