Having now done my research on Private Dancer (musically it totally fits in with the rest of Love Over Gold), it&#039;s interesting to note that while they used the rest of DS for the instrumental tracks, Knopfler didn&#039;t appear, the guitar instead being played by the <em>other</em> British guitarist famous for mastery of volume swells and not using a pick - Jeff Beck.
