O hai, we are just making this itinerary. We are getting in the car and actually taking a vacation, one that includes paying someone to be us on this here mommyblog while we are gone, so our only responsibilities for just shy of three weeks will be buying you beer and seeing our mama. It has no dates attached to it except for "mid to late June," and many of the smaller places (we are talking to you Des Moines) are negotiable for other towns and cities nearby if we hear from a whole bunch of folks that, say, FUCK DES MOINES, etc. So check it:
I'll turn 60 in July but don't feel it at all. You're probably the same way. The kiddos don't know what they're missing.
I am disappointed in the lack of Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo. Some of the best beer in the world comes from West Michigan. (Which we need, given that Erik Prince and Dick DeVos also come from West Michigan.)
The knowledgeable will be wearing fish masks.
Tough call in late June, aside from the whole Walker thing. (I grew up in Shorewood, did my undergrad in Madison). I guess, on balance, I'd say Mad City, because (1) the tour group will already have had lakeshore views in Chicago, (2) Milwaukee may be a little Summerfesty, (3) the Capitol Rotunda, (4) you'd at least have the option of State Street Brats, or whatever they're calling the Brathaus these days, (5) it is a couple hours closer to the Twin Cities.
Yeah, fuck all y'all! We replaced Romney with Deval Patrick and Brown with Elizabeth Warren, and I'll take your Dennis Kucinich, your Alan Grayson, your Bernie Sanders, and raise you a BARNEY FUCKING FRANK!!!1!!
I spent a couple of years at the University of Iowa, Idaho City, Ohio, but that was a while ago.

KANSAS CITY IS NOT A PIT.
Unless you meant a BBQ pit.

Hi VB, I namaste to your 0 p-ness and honor the breaking of your silence.
Maybe an off day? Their 'cue is supposed to rock but I haven't had it yet. Or Franklins, in Austin either.
Nice to have a public house within staggering distance of home. I'm sorry the Parlor closed, I had a really good pizza there once.

Is that what the kids are calling Pahrump these days?

Other residents post here. I would be willing to help organize something in the STL if required.
Even the railroad once known as the Acheson Topeka and Santa Fe, no longer goes there.

Minneapolis? It is about fucking time. How about Bryant Lake Bowl? Or Hell's Kitchen? Or Brit's Pub? Or some gutter?
Hell, you're one of the tourist attractions.
First time thru, I read that as "Oklahoma City". Makes more sense now.
