Like said adolescents, they have an argument for anything, doesn’t matter if it’s illogical and fact free. Similarly, they crow over their own stupid statements as some kind of “owning” of the grownups (liberals) in the room. Dunning-Kruger effect is at its highest with them.
The decent side leans liberal, so to stand with their tribe, they are compelled to be the opposite of decent.
The “decent” conservatives, like said Middle schoolers’ parents, wring their hands and bemoan their immaturity.
But heaven forbid you ever call their little darlings to account because tribalism.
