But seriously: prosecutors get to pick from quite an assortment of charges. Lots of times you will read about some prominent figure getting arrested for mail fraud, or tax evasion. But, those crimes aren't necessarily the real reason they arrested that person. The real reason may be that the person is an (allegedly) corrupt politician, or an (alleged) gangster, or in this case, has published secret documents related to our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is deeply involved in all kinds of crazy stuff. Things are not always what they seem in this wicked world.
