I think Biden only pardoned his son/Dr. Fauci/ Liz CheneyJanuary 6 Committee, etc. because Donald named them all in his quest for revenge. I think if any other president besides Trump were coming into Office, he wouldn’t have done it.

Biden made the smart, and caring, move.

Trump and the Magas are gnashing their teeth.

It *should* be Marquis of Queensbury, but it's actually Marquess of Queensbury. Why? Because: Europeans.

Biden doing this is admirable in many cases but there really should be something limiting pardons to something along the lines of a committee’s recommendations imo. This is too arbitrary and look at what Trump did re: Jan. 6, Bill Clinton with Marc Rich, etc.

Wish Biden had remembered to include Vindman family in his pardons. They have sacrificed a lot and risked much for all of us and our country.

Ta, Marcie. It's a damned shame that OHJB had to do this, but I don't see any other choice for him, under the circumstances.

Fucking John Stewart is upset about Biden's pardons of his family. Fucking hell, dude. I mean, Stewart is the one who did a great take-down of how WE keep following norms, and THEY never do! So now Biden takes the same tack, albeit not far enough, as T, and JS gives him shit for it. Damned either way.

This is why we lose elections. Like having 12 Dem Reps vote for the 2025 immigration bill. We got all these DINOs... these "thinkers" while they vote in lockstep. Too many on "our" side are some version of the Sinemanchin scourge.

Oh, and Chris Wray is bummed about Peltier. Good riddance dude.

Will Democrats ever learn?

I hadn't thought of all those others Biden didn't pardon. Even when "going high" would be a good thing a Democrat doesn't go high enough.

If you want to really get how messed up this is then remember, accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. You can only be pardoned for crimes you actually committed. Since the 70s some clowns (judges) have said differently, but that didn't change the facts.

"the Hamburglar"

Friend of mine had this to say this morning, "I thought I saw the Hamburgler in some inauguration photo, and after a second look realized it was Melania. This is all I will add to political discourse for the next 4 years."

Rich guy + "pretty" immigrant = transactional arrangement.

The first time around, she begrudgingly did anything required of her, like it was supposed to be a 4-8 year spa day, and everyone had their cheap nerve to intrude.

This time, she's made it clear she wants her own piece of the action.

Zuck the Cuck just made everyone on Facebook permanently follow Donald Chump, JD Vance, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 Melania Chump.

And the best meme I've seen of Melania and The Hat: Looking for Moose and Squirrel.

Maybe it's just official boilerplate, but I find it kind of offensive that these pardons all start with "FOR ANY OFFENSES against the United States which they may have committed" when we know damn well THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG.

I'm talking about Biden's pardons. Don't take it the wrong way. Trump is a criminal.

Also, regarding “And if the government starts to prosecute me, nobody knows who I am except for my friends." It will be up to us to broadcast and explain, any and every time something happens to these people. I certainly know a lot (if not all) of the names on Patel's hit list. I hope everyone's friends let us (the royal us) know so we can broadcast.

The part about "through the date of this pardon" explains why these pardons were so late in coming - to protect them for as long a period as possible. I'm thrilled that the quoted ones (for Fauci and Milley) go all the way back to 2014, before TFG 1.0.

January 20, 2017 ushered in the Idiocracy era. January 20, 2025 is likely ushering in the Purge era. Assuming we get elections in 2028, I wonder what January 20, 2029 has in store for us. Cookies?

If they roll over on his demented demands for foreign countries, he's going to have to reinstitute the draft. Something like that's going to require a lot of manpower. A lot of cannon fodder.

All those disaffected MAGA youth are going to get a free gun from the government.

Us and them.

I don't like that sort of binary thinking – but almost 50% of Americans voted to hand our country over to el Trumpo del Fucko and his MAGGOT band of bomb throwers. So yeah –fuck your "egg prices" whining –you voted for him because you support his ugly vision for American.

SO STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME IF YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

Almost 50% of the "voters". I'm a stickler for accuracy. 30% didn't even vote

Oy!'s avatar

Fair point (except that those non-voters clearly are assholes too! 😃 )

Yes. Yes they are. Also ignorant.

Some good news, Biden granted clemency to Leonard Peltier as practically the last act of his Presidency. So, it’s too little, too late; but it is something. Leonard is going home

(I’m going to go back to watching octopus videos now.)

In the meantime, with one act, Trump created a violent militia who will be loyal to him when violence is needed
