I wanted Avenatti to be our hero, holding Trump accountable in court and making him suffer the consequences (for once!) of his illegal actions. His main focus should be on getting that case settled, not on his own personal ambitions. Very disappointing.

I concur. We need to move away from the "anybody can be President" thing...because that's hasn't worked out so well...

Man, a month ago I was ready to whip out the heat press at my parent's house and embark on a lucrative project : #basta undies. Avenatti can't shut up, so he's killed that dream. I love ya, sweet cheeks, but you're not getting my vote, Street fighter or not.

I like strong, hard, and experienced in a Boyfriend; I don't much care which side he dresses.

Oh, wait, did you mean like politics?

I would vote for the guy, for a few good reasons. Number one, he is not, one senses strongly, intimidated or anxious about encountering Trump.

Number two, Trump is, one senses equally strongly, much anxious/fearful in an encounter with Avenatti - case in point, Trump has not tweeted ONE WORD about Avenatti, much less a discouraging word, Trump treats Avenatti, publicly at least, with utmost respect, just as he behaves toward Putin, which indicates at the very least, he sees Avenatti as a strong man, albeit not a dictator, but one who never uses the language of fear, as so many democrats do, when talking of Trump.

Number 3, We know Trump's methods, acting egregiously toward all opponents, and altho he is quite possibly a moron, he has an uncanny ability to identify a weak spot in the opponent's ego, and attack and ridicule and stuns the opponent into silence or red-faced embarrassment. I get the feeling Avenatti would eviscerate the Trump, as he has the opposing lawyers and other tv defenders of Trump.

Number 4, The country is in fine shape if ever a democrat majority rules the house, and quite possibly the Senate, which looks quite possible this November. The swamp is now localized in the Trump administration, including his cabinet, and as always, Republicans are swamp creatures. What a world of difference a sane intelligent human being as president, a president who is not a lying, dehumanizing, horrendous and stupifyingly dull and stupid as is the current holder of the office.

Number 5, In a street fight, America will throw down with Avenatti after 4 years of Trump. He strikes me as a man of unswerving devotion to truth and I see no reason to question his integrity.

Number 6, The presidency does not require a career politician. George Washington was a soldier and a surveyor. He seems to have worked out just fine.

Unfortunately, we know nothing of his politics and policies he would push. All we know is he likes to tweak Trump's nose and get under his skin. And he's an aggressive defense attorney who knows how to manipulate the press. What are his views on immigration, unions, individual rights, trade, environmental and financial regulations, NATO, taxes, health care and a host of other issues a president must address. We made the mistake of ignoring those policy issues in 2016. We do not need another celebrity president.
