I gave my puppy a pain pill, she was spayed on Friday. Tried to back off on the medication, but she was restless and not sleeping well. Now that she is sound asleep, I will try to go back to sleep too.
I want him to start threatening everyone. Just say out loud what he posted on TS. His hatred, anger, revengefulness right at the camara. His whinny, poor me, unfair BS would be good too.
Ah yes. Now is the time when the MAGA campaign, well-oiled machine that it is, will choose to "pivot" to the kind of "presidential" messaging that will really resonate with these undecided voters in MAGA hats that we found at this Ohio diner. Because as we all know, Trump is a master political operator with the message discipline to deliver just the kind of rhetoric at the debate.
Cute. I clicked on it and watched the little slideshow, at first I thought they were going to eat Mr marshmallow Man, but then I see he had a smore too.
Lately I've been waking up with anxiety waves at about 2 or so, and I know screen time doesn't help, but checking through with the night crew here, and my classes block some of the light is actually better than anything to calm me down. It's nice knowing people are out there who are good people. I'm usually able to get another hour of sleep, or at least rest in bed and keep from jumping out of my skin.
I don't want to go to work, because I still am very tired from being sick, but I'm going in and trying, anyway. If I feel like garbage after first period, I'll leave. My boss can't fill in for me, because my coworker at the MS got her knee replaced, in August, after she had all of July to get it done. I don't know if that was because of scheduling or what, but it was damned inconvenient. She's used up all her PTO on the first month of school, too. Hope her daughters can skip a year on their endless pregnancies.
It took me months to get hip surgery scheduled. After I did all the tests, after I saw the surgeon, after I got insurance approval. Stressed me out big time.
She just has this kind of timing for everything. Whatever is the least convenient thing for everyone else, that's the option she'll go with. She's known since May.
Something that I keep learning is that getting any sort of coverage for myself is like the D-day invasion planning and must be done ages in advance, and even then starts falling through (plus everyone pats themselves on the back that they did so much) yet other people seem to flit in and out without a care.
She knew before school got out in May that she needed a replacement, but she wanted to work through June. I still can't imagine that she couldn't have scheduled for July if she knew in May.
I don't feel bad enough to just call out, but normally, I don't care what happens at work, if I'm sick enough. I just have a hangover from being sick this weekend.
There's a whole lot to unpack there, but ... the colleague waiting to have surgery AND using all their PTO hit Mrs LS' unit at the hospital. And now comes the *whining* about how they have to work HALLOWEEN. Do not get us started on THAT shit.
I'll bet that Halloween is just as much fun as the 4th of July, in an ER.
Imagine what she'll say at Christmas.
My coworker has to have drama in her life at all times. I'm not saying she didn't have to have her knee replaced, but every time things settle at her house, when they have a home, (got evicted), her husband has a job, and none of her daughters are pregnant, none of her grandchildren is in the ER, she has surgery. If it isn't that, she had an allergic reaction or she caught got sick and it's always five times sicker than everyone else. It's just something all the time and she exhausts me.
I was a little appalled when my former boss hired her. She's smart. She could have done well in university. She's just addicted to drama and doesn't know how to live without it. I started saying that if there's no drama at her house, she'll create some.
Her husband is a saint, is all I have to say. Her ex husband is living in the house with everyone, now. I mean, why?

<Let’s defeat the orange turd that invaded your house>
Reminds me of this great protest song by Robert Cray from 2020.
-------------------------------------------------------
Who is this man in our house?
Who is this man?
Better get him out
We've got a problem
He's gotta go
He don't leave
Can't live here no more
If we wanna save our home
We need to get him out

I freaking worship Robert Cray. From the moment I first heard him so many years back.
Thank you.
Me, too. From the first time I heard Smoking Gun (I know that's not the real title.)
Yep. I said, "he's the real thing. This guy is IT."
I'm a long time worshipper, also, of Fred MacDowell.
They called him "Mississippi Fred MacDowell", though he was from Tennessee.
"I do not play no rock and roll"
"..............y'all; I jes' play de straight 'n natchel BLUES, y'unnerstan"
Blessed man. Genius.
5:00 album version is better listening. The other version I chose for the images.
