Ben Carson took his turn to swing the Idiot Stick at that fake story about Planned Parenthood running a Fetus-Parts Thrift Shop. Not only did he repeat the usual nonsense about how terrible it is that Planned Parenthood is forcing women to have a legal surgical procedure they can't possibly want -- what woman could ever want an abortion?
A fetus is not a baby. It has the potential to become a baby once it's born, but prior to birth it is NOT a human being. And in the case of Republicans, many of them never live long enough to become human, and least not by my reckoning.
If "every sperm is sacred" and YHWH is responsible for the creation of humanity (no, I don't believe it), WHY do so many pregnancies end in miscarriage, especially during the first trimester, when estimates of the numbers are as high as 50%?
This just reminds me of how pissed off I am at Robert Duvall and HBO. My VHS copy of Stalin finally gave up the ghost, and the only way to get Stalin is on a two-disk set with Assassination Tango, which I don't want to see. I ordered it from the library and waited for months. When it finally came in, it was just AT, no Stalin, so I handed it back to the librarian, unwatched.
