Let us not forget, this was DeSantis’ guy - another indication of the incredible official corruption fostered by a total fascist.

He was supposed to bust up the sweet liberal college it was, and make it the next Hillsdale christian clone university.

The superintendent of my school district was dismissed last spring for cause after having been caught harassing a teacher and then retaliating against her when she filed a grievance. He will continue to receive his salary of $240,000 a year through June 2025. That is how it goes at that level. Anyone else would have been drummed out and possibly lost their license.

Yes, but so is everyone else (except the Republican) because they have to clean up after the shitstorm.

How about the Board of Trustees just tell Ben "FUCK YOU" and just not pay out the rest of his contract and invite him to sue - after all discovery will probably reveal even more fuckery.

After all, it's PAB's favorite MO.

Ta, Gary. Claw back that million a year (contract, shmontract) and divide it up among the adjuncts who do the actual teaching. Sasse deserves nothing but contempt.

Republicans know the system is for grifting. It’s the contract that matters, not the service or work due. Sasse knows once you have the guaranteed deal, you leave before they realize you are an unqualified weasel spending $15,000 on fancy dinners. Or, you leave before they hold you accountable.

I’m sorry his wife is sick, but institutions need to stop paying coaches and administrators long after they left in shame. How about you get paid for your service while you are there? I’m all for earning a pension, if you contribute for 20 years and earn it. And I strongly feel Americans should be able to start drawing SS once they have either paid into the plan for 30 years, or they reach 55 and have paid in sufficiently. But working 1 year and drawing $1 mil a year for 3 more years should outrage teachers and professors and administrators there. But it’s Florida, and the tingles conservatives get from hiring a former congressman is worth all the money in the world.

One idea I've had for CEOs is that they start to get their serious pay ten years after they do their work Sort of like score keeping in bowling. A system like this could have saved Boeing a lot of money.

Why is tuition so much?

Coaches and administrators.

Smart people are not trying to get into teaching at universities, they are trying to get posts in the university administration, which is still a growing career option.

I've occasionally read about other people getting their employment contracts canceled due to violation of the rules, so why can't they cancel Sasse's? Sounds to me like he violated a few rules there.

Oh man, the outgoing president at my university is only getting paid through June 2026 when he bails outta here [checks notes] Sept 30.

"University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins will be paid through the end of his contract in July 2026 even though he’s leaving the post next month.

The Arizona Board of Regents is still in legal discussions over Robbins’ pay and responsibilities and previously told the Arizona Daily Star that it “would honor the terms of President Robbins‘ contract.”

Whatta piker.

Also we just got notice from our business office that we can't spend University bux on ANY food or food-like stuff for any reason. So pizza-on-friday for that adjunct professor's class has gotta come out of adjunct professor's own pocket

Yeah but that $1 million is so much less that can be used to pay “Marxist” professors to teach girls with hair dye who won't fuck Republican chuds.

So checkmate, libs!

He just had one season to get warmed up. We can only imagine the catering- a- polooza he was planning on this season. Alas, it was not to be. Especially after the student paper outed Sasse's budget. He airlifted himself out of the danger zone post haste. Do his pals get to keep their no show gigs too?
