My mom and I were both dressed in PJs made to resemble the "supersuits" from The Incredibles. A latina mom came by with her little boy, who was dressed similarly. She asked if she could take a picture of us. When we agreed, she plunked the little guy down on my lap. He was very good, didn't wriggle or cry or fuss (probably cuz Mom was right there where he could see her). I even put my arms around him. Wish I'd asked him his name. Such a sweetie. She apologized to me for taking the liberty afterwards, but I didn't mind a bit.
This little white girl voted for that ni*CLANG* president too. I was pretty sure we'd get a man of color in the WH before any woman. Still, I love the Obamas. I miss the whole "no-drama-Obama" vibe. Now all we've got is drama, with a reality TV president*. I need a commercial break.
Lady running against Abbot is Lupe Valdez, she is getting great # because we are voting straight Blue. She hasn't campaigned much. I HATE Abbot, he is parading his Mex Am MIL like she is somebody we will listen to. Nope, if Beto doeant win, THEY RIGGED ELECTION. Texas minorities are WOKE and we are pissed.
I didn't watch the Matthews O'Rourke interview (I have the same aversion to Matthews as I do to Trump). How many times did he talk over, interrupt or regale the audience with his own views as opposed to just letting the interviewee answer the fucking question?
I hope he does have a career beyond perpetual campaigning. Pep rallies and canvasing are no substitute for actual governing. being good at one doesn't necessarily mean being good at the other. I hope he gets a chance to try his hand at the governing part and moving the Overton window in Congress back to the left.
