That tweet aimed at Warren is gone. Poof.... like it never happened, except nothing is ever really deleted from the internet...

Mine are paid off (took ten years) but it's mostly thanks to my late mother's help. Meanwhile, good people are being shackled with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt for degrees like mine, and others aren't seeking college educations at all because they don't want to drown in debt.Forgive student debt!

I also believe that the fed should get out of the student loan business and I'm a tree hugging lib. I think it would cut down considerably on online "college" scams and ultimately, I think that tuition and fees would go down.

I agree and I went to school so long ago when tuition was so dirt cheap in Texas, you could work a part time job to pay for it.

I don't believe a word of Dep't Ed.'s claims to have made borrowers whole and fixed the system. They are there to destroy the system. They aren't going to start fixing it.

These people simply do not believe in universal education. Not at all in public education, and only in private education for those who can pay cash up front. It's not that they don't believe in it; they hate it and wish to destroy it.

Why, a reasonable person asks? It's because they think education is either a hobby and an indulgence, or it's a means to make money and nothing more than that. If it's an indulgent hobby, pay for it yourself, they think. And if it's a means for you to make money, why would I help you do that? In fact, I should prevent you from doing that, so we can all have an Ayn Rand hellscape dystopia as Jesus intended. Nobody in their world would help someone gain a competitive advantage and to do so is evil, at least for them.

That's why they especially hate loan forgiveness for people who do public service. They hate the very notion of public service, because it involves them giving what they have to someone else, which they loathe, fear, mock and despise.

I realize I'm going on and on, but this is presented in most media as bad policy, or programs that aren't working, or good intentions gone wrong. It's not. It's absolutely intentional and beyond any sort of morality. They will find other ways to prevent people from being able to afford education; to sabotage and slow-walk Federal Law that guarantees an equal and appropriate education to all children; and to reserve education into a privilege of wealth. All the better to create a permanent and helpless underclass.

That's what they're about. And they're very very serious indeed about this.

So what? I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's.

And his hair was perfect.

And they somehow think they and their spawn will eternally escape the fates of the French and Russian aristocracies.

But then, as a noted conservative intellectual said, "The only thing we learn from history is that we do not learn."

All the teachers I know (and I know a few of them) hate this asshole with a chainsaw of failing grades.

My sis-in-law, both of her sisters, and many of their friends, are teachers. They massively corroborate this.
