I think I said this already, but why can't the current federal government turn around and seize all the properties of the perpetrators of the "policy" (Kushner, Miller, Nielsen, T***p, et al) in order to make up the debt?
I mean, the Saudis just gave Kushner $2b for his investment fund. Since he literally tried to kill me & mine via COVID (since he thought it would only spread to "the blue states" and we have documentation of all that) -- I'm kind of feeling like
"THAT'S OUR MONEY ANYWAY AND YOU'RE A CRIMINAL AND WE WANT IT BACK"
I do not have the moral fiber to try and figgur out the dollar figure of the costs here. Would probably be wrong anyways. But I did have a client was an attorney and took some injury cases, usually against insurance companies. He said "ask a jury of parents and grandparents what they think a kid's arm or leg or sight is worth in dollars." Lifelong trauma, abuse, cruelty, and all the pain.You gonna win, win big. Smart ins lawyers settle before the peasants act with pitchforks and scythes , legally speaking, of course.

I had an econ prof back in the 70s (kind of a RW douche, in restrospect) who put a $70 million price tag on his life. Maybe we could ask him if he's still around (doubtful).

This might be slightly OT, but has anyone considered the role immigrants (or lack thereof) have played in the historic number of current job openings? Surely, many people from other countries have looked at the past 4 years here and said, nah, I'm good. Does anyone have any numbers that indicate immigration (both legal and not) is down?
