my girls in Oz hate Murdoch. I asked them about this the other day as I am part of the Kevin Rudd campaign to ban Murdoch i Oz. They said that they dont know anyone who "likes' him or pays attention to his media outlets. One daughter and hubby work for the council in a smallish town in Queensland that is not know for its progressive values. Most younger people ( 21 and up) hate Scotty from marketing and the adherence to fossil fuels. They are mainly far more inclusive and forward thinking than the older Murdoch following people
Also- i think the UK hate Murdoch more than the US. Here, most people dont know which media outlets he is behind. Most everyone in the UK knows and detests him and what his papers stand for. The big phone hacking scandals a few years ago really woke people up to the scum journalism his empire encourages
