The House has an outside lawyer to question Barr.

Suddenly, Republicans are all sorts of against outside lawyers (cough Christine Ford):

Barr spokesperson: “Members of Congress should be the ones doing the questioning. He remains happy to engage with members on their questions regarding the Mueller report”Sort of stunning that the nation's top lawyer wants to dictate how a coequal branch conducts its business.

If I were Nancy Pelosi I would be starting to deputize recently retired FBI agents behind the scenes into a Congressional arm of law enforcement, which could simply go over to Barr's house and arrest him by force. I believe Congress has that authority.

I seem to remember the GOP having no issues with using an outside attorney to question Dr. Blasey Ford too

John Mitchell was the only attorney general to be convicted of crimes and sent to prison. I found this tidbit in Wikipedia: "In the daysimmediately after the Watergate break-in of June 17, 1972, Mitchell enlistedformer FBI agent Steve King to prevent his wife Martha from learning about thebreak-in or contacting reporters. While she was on a phone call with journalistHelen Thomas about the break-in, King pulled the phone cord from the wall. Mrs.Mitchell was held against her will in a California hotel room and forcefullysedated by a psychiatrist after a physical struggle with five men that left herneeding stitches. Nixon aides, in an effort to discredit her, told the pressthat she had a "drinking problem."

Such a sweet guy. BTW, that former FBI agent who kidnapped Mrs. Mitchell, Steve King, is now cheeto's ambassador to the Czech Republic.
