If McCabe helped Comey and other Feebers sabotage Clinton he deserves some punishment, but not losing his pension and in such a shoddy way. My understanding is the the review process should have taken weeks, not a few days. I hope he has good grounds for a lawsuit.
McCabe’s replacement will direct Rosenstein to shut down the Mueller investigation. When Rosenstein refuses, he’ll fire Rosenstein and Rosenstein’s replacement will fire Mueller..

I was hoping McCabe's firing would clearly get Trump in trouble. Trump's been bullying him all year ("ask your wife how it feels to be loser") -- and couldn't resist gloating like a mofo on twitter tonight ("great day for democracy!").
Unfortunately, Sessions said the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility recommended McCabe be fired, which means Trump's ass is covered, at least for the time being.

The inspector general decided the authorization was "inappropriate" and McCabe "misled" investigators when asked about it. So that's why he was fired.
Kills me. All roads lead us back to THE EMAILS. Why are Repubs so great at never letting an issue die and Dems so bad at getting outrage to stick?
Hillary's unforgivable and unforgettable crime was being careless with classified info, YET clearly the Trump admin has been equally, if not more, careless. Why doesn't that register? Why can't we have parity? Fine: lock up Hillary. But then lock up Jarvanka for the same crime, plus Trump and Kelly for letting it happen.
Lock up McCabe and Comey for letting Hillary off the hook. But then lock up the whole bloody GOP for letting Trump off the hook...

McCabe stepped down in January. He's been on leave waiting for his retirement date to roll around.
I don't recall who replaced him. Ivanka maybe? It's too hard to keep track of this administration's revolving door.
