One of my friends in high school became a single dad when his girlfriend got 10 years for selling marijuana, her parents wanted the kid so they turned him into CPS, they made up some story about coming over and them smoking weed in front of the kid, never happened though. It took almost 5 years for him to even see his kids again and she was out before he had custody of them again. They had to sue her own parents, which brought about an investigation into the grandparent's child rearing which found sexual abuse, the grandfather got 3 years.
Why are we sending child molesters to jail for less time than someone selling weed?
By the 'blood of patriots' we have committed genocide and imperialism. What we really need is an organization titled 'Sanity-keepers.'
Amanda Biondolillo, a Concord woman who came with her young daughter, said she didn't think the state should get involved in family issues at all, even if there is reason to suspect abuse.
"The family should be left to resolve it on their own," Biondolillo said. "Or private enterprise - private companies can contact the family and say, 'We heard you were hitting your kids. Can you stop that?' "
I also suspect some drug issue. Seems like the "two adorable toddlers" are still in the home, only the newborn was moved to foster care. (Though JMPEsq says they're out too.) Looks like some serious concerns with the all-american-girl mother.
Over on the TP'er blogs (prisonplanet[dot]com), the comments are all about starting a shooting war over this incident.

An all white group of men, who are all named after the Founding Fathers&trade;, drive around in a van with confederate flag upholstery and shag carpet. All of them are legally packing 4 or 5 guns each but when the shooting starts various real weapons pop out the van to vanquish their numerous nemeses that have come to take away their constitutional rights.
It happens that I did foster care for a while in my past. When kids are taken from a home there&#039;s always two sides to that .... JUST KIDDING! The parents have to fuck up pretty bad before a judge will sign off on that kind of thing.
