He was a master of baseball, football (on the radio, not an easy thing to do) and the very rare "simulcast" - Warriors' basketball on tv and the radio at the same time. He was funny, literate, and precise with is language.
Hank Greenwald was an excellent Giants' play-by-play man. Very, very funny.
Overall, Giants' fans have probably had the longest run of first rate radio and tv presentations in American sports history. With the possible exception of the LA Dodgers where Vin Scully did it all by himself.
