What's horrible is me realizing I'm surface-agreeing with a bunch of what Jindal is saying. I feel dirty now . . .

I hear you, but you're fighting an uphill battle won years ago by Rupert Murdoch and his ilk. Take a deep breath and have some of this Kool-Aid.

Also, she was great in Repo! The Genetic Opera. Admittedly, playing the spoilt, slutty, addicted daughter of a rich man wasn't a real stretch for her acting chops.

... either way, Mong(o)(loid) is getting perilously close to Jack Stuef territory.

Please, please. Let's get those names right for a change! The Palin offspring are Crack, Pistol, Pooper, Brillo and Trog.

It’s almost always young men who have either no father figure in their lives, or a broken relationship with their father. Is this just a coincidence?

He's right, American fathers are pretty terrible. Wait, that's not whom he meant to blame?

We've whittled it down to fifteen seconds of fame.

Not Lux, Tron, Trundle, Wharf and Plectrum?

At first blush, Jindal appears to be a RWEJ (a Right Wing Emerson Job) but Ralph Waldo was carefully precise:

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.

Emphasis on foolish.

Foolish consistency is the only kind that Jindal has mastered. He is certainly a little statesman and, in his capacity as amateur gonzo-exorcist, a little philosopher and teensy-weensy divine as well. Other than the foolish stuff, he has no consistency at all and he's pretty rusty on the notion of causation as well.

Might it have something to do with his locale? Failed state, butt of jokes, corrupted electoral system, broken schools system, reliance on government handouts from more successful states ...
