But Whopper - easily more meat in the one LARGER patty than the 2 small ones in a Big Muck. Plus that unecessary middle bun in the latter ?It's because when they first made them they couldn't hold the thing together, so essentially it's a stabiliser.

NO comparison - the Whopper is better -it's just the there are way more McDs than any other burger chain in the US and the world.

Not at Moe;s which is by far much better and cheaper, especially if you go on Moe's Mondays where the regular burrito (or burrito bowl) and totilla chips and soda is only about $8 before tax.Especially good as the steak and pork burritos are more expensive but are priced the same on Mondays.

Only slightly OT:

Went to Chipotle last Friday night to pick up a carry-out order (not for me.) Had to wait because the order wasn't ready yet. The production line was a mess. While I was waiting, the manager asked another employee to "do a line wipe, please."

The kid takes a wet, nasty-looking rag, and wipes the inch-wide strips between the bins of burrito ingredients without lifting the bins out of their recess. I watched the corners of the nasty-rag flop into each bin, touching the lettuce, dipping into the burrito filling, then into the shredded cheese (picking up a few pieces that stuck to the rag,) and so on. As far as I could tell, the contents of no bin went untouched by the nasty-rag.

Never. Ever. Will I eat anything from that particular Chipotle. End of story.

I am one hundred percent sure I did more investigative work (I'm guessing five minutes on Google, eight tops) than that reporter did.

Sorry, but them food items are stuffed with pure white magats. At least that is what it looks like. Not my idea of a savory, sanitary eating experience. Hold me at gunpoint and feed me to death on fresh garden spuds, aspersions and New York strips.

Let me just say I'm more disappointed than angry that a link wasn't provided for poor Mr. Marsh's GoFundMe page. After a cursory search through the sofa cushions, I found a broken button and an interesting-looking piece of lint.

Just wondering how much the CEO of Chipotles is overpaid and how many bonuses he's received.

When about four corporations own the entire market there's not much incentive to lower prices. Also, too, obscene CEO salaries!!

In fairness, a LOT of financial firms have their workforce at home these days. They don't like it one bit, but they recognize that they're more likely to get ongoing productivity out of their workers if they're not in the office infecting each other all day.My Broker/Advisor is in a small-to-medium shop, with some fancy offices that I don't doubt are costing them a pretty penny, but their entire staff is working from home ... since the pandemic started.

not that I disagree, but if the story was about someone coming off shift from the sales floor of a retail store, instead of a (perceived to be wealthy) stock broker, I wonder if our reactions would be different - either way, if your budget is that tight, don't go to takeaway food stores

Speaking only for myself (obvs) my reaction would _not_ be different. I have a condition that requires an elevated protein intake, and the same condition is keeping me on disability. I have to resort to Chipotle on occasion. But I _never_ bitch about the price.
