Wednesday, September 15: It's anew a day in DC, but if there's one thing (most) Washingtonians will always love, it's their precious food trucks. Now it's time to figure out which food truck is the best food truck: Brightest Young Things, along with DCRA and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, is hosting a Food Truck Cook-off October 7 and 8 at the Old Washington Convention Center. To celebrate 30 years of organic bliss, Whole Foods is throwing itself a birthday party complete with Mariachi bands, and cupcakes and cookies made from delicious wholesome ingredients. • Saturday, September 18: If you're not  spending Saturday starving and atoning for your sins, go to H Street for the H Street Festival. There will be a pie eating contest, a sandwich eating contest, and a pleasant sounding tattoo competition. Oh, and Wonkette's own Liz Glover will be showing off herLady Gaga -like yoga moves on a stage somewhere on H Street, too.  [ H Street Festival ]

• Saturday, September 25: As it is written: no matter the season, no self-respecting urban city dweller should ever, EVER have to go a week without eating pig. Well-aware of this, the bar 19th is hosting a Big Ass Pig Roast next Saturday from 12-6PM. They will be roasting THREE whole pigs and offering drafts for $3 and beer buckets for $20.
