Joe Manchin's household is yet another American household with no working adults that gets $174,000 annually in cash from the federal government.

Gosh, a child of privilege lying through their teeth, with assistance from paid accomplices? When does that ever happen?

Technically, it's things like heating-oil subsides. It's terrible optics to cut off Grandma's subsidy in the cold of winter, don'tcha know? (Of course, we could instead subsidize replacing Grandma's old and dirty oil heater with a modern, American-made electrical one, but that would be logical...)

That damn octopus gif is mesmerizing! I can't quite tell where the loop begins, but after trying to follow one of the riders, I realized they change at some point during the circuit (and every rider changes eventually), they change at different points, and after watching it a dozen times, I still can't determine what the pattern is, because it never quite appears to repeat. I know it's not possible in a gif with fixed frames, but it seems to vary randomly. oO

What? I posted her words and there's an issue with that? Her quotes are frequently cut off, like in this instance, I did not make a judgement on anything by quoting her. That you assumed I was making some kind of statement says more about you than me. Don't pick a fight with me, I don't fight here, I walk away.

I'd be happy to set up GoBribeMe accounts for the rest of the lot as well. We ARE running out of time, and this isn't an exercise. In the mean time I'm sending money to ActBlue and others and will be doing what I can to make the 2022 election work in our favor. Living in a blue state does have its limits though.

Also did you notice that the half quote in the tweet made it sound like the progressives were just going to tank it, but by me sharing the whole quote of what AOC said it makes much more sense? Your "Trying to hang it all on AOC is being a woman-hating bigot. Are these your true colors, zig?" is pissing me off because you got it SO wrong. I feel I'm owed an apology.

Sorry, but in a state that's 93.5% white, there isn't any way that anyone to the left of Manchin will be elected in the next 25 years at least.

By something like 7 times, yeah.

Does that make any damn sense? Vermont is whiter. So is Maine, and both states have senators who are left of Manchin.

There are some obvious historical and cultural differences.

And where was Joe Manchin today? He was in Texas attending a fundraiser with republicans.

Why would we want clean, efficient, renewable energy when it means no more jobs like this?

Bottom line: Manchin is not the boogeyman, but he has a disproportionate amount of power due to his stance protecting the filibuster and “bipartisanship.” We need to vote in another few blue Senators in 2022 so he goes back to being nothing but a reliable “yes” vote.

If you look at the blue-headed rider in the front to to the left of the light-blue spot on the ground, he bounces 6 times and then "jumps" ahead one spot to start the cycle over on the 7th jump, so I'm guessing that's where the splice is.

Manchin flew to Texass Friday, 7/16, to attend a fundraiser in his honor that was held by oil and gas tycoons who just happen to be Rethuglicons.

He met with the Texas Dems yesterday, who are trying to block the draconian election law changes the 'cons are pushing, using the orange thing's lies about election fraud as an excuse to help them steal elections. Did he just blow smoke up their asses?

I wonder how he will vote on the infrastructure bill, the voting rights bills and killing the filibuster? Hmmm. Joe Coal is the best DINO Repukes can buy.
