The knock-on effects of criminalizing abortion, e.g. Texas, are staggering. It's not just that it will reduce the number of ob-gyn practitioners, but those who remain or, indeed, are attracted to Texas are only those so comfortable foregoing the health and welfare of girls and women that they have no concern they could run afoul of those obscene laws.

A recent poll shows that of Texas residents actually support new laws outlawing all abortions without exceptions.

And yet outlets like NPR and WaPo continue to characterize abortion rights as a "deeply divided issue." It's infuriating.
