Biden wants to do something about it, you can take that to the bank. There's a goddamn election to be won, and painting Republicans as traitorous, extremist Covid-murderers is the key to winning it. Nobody is in a huge hurry, though, because it's better if these hearings hit their dramatic peak next year.

Biden has no, zero, political aspirations for the future. He ran because he believed that as an elderly man, he was the one person who could *truly* put politics aside and do the painful things that need to be done to save our democracy. I truly believe that.
