Charlie Kirk was an outspoken advocate for his faith, his family and his freedom to tell everyone else how to live their lives.

Kirk was a Nazi. I do not applaud or approve of Nazis, especially since my father spent 30 months in Europe bombing them.

I'm so fed up with news outlets referring to Charlie Kirk's murder as an "assassination." That term should be reserved for high-ranking people, such as presidents, prime ministers and the like. Charlie Kirk was a right-wing activist who jumped on the Trump bandwagon and make himself a ton of money pandering to MAGAs. He was murdered by a disturbed individual with a gun. This, on the same day that more schoolchildren were killed by gun violence, which the news media virtually ignored.

Charlie Kirk was an advocate for his OWN faith, family, and freedom. He was also a racist, homophobe, and misogynist.

NOTHING about him should be commended or praised.

In my local college town they said 3,000 people showed up for the CK thingy since he was supposed to talk on college this week anyway. I know the people, I saw the pictures. 1,000 showed up for CK, 2,000 showed up to protest. They counted both in the misleading headline. I suspect this isn't just local.

Anyone that makes the Kirk killing about free speech is gaslighting, using quasi moralizing. Thou shalt not kill for any reason is the only moral of this story. And yet the killer will most likely be killed. I hate this culture.

Anyone here getting a feel how this whitewash is ACTUALLY playing out in the American public? I see all the performances from the white house etc, but I can't get a read on how the GP is responding. I'm not seeing as much engagement from MAGA on this front as I expected. I really don't have a clue

I can tell by my feed of Reels on Facebook that though it is not my algorithm, I am getting a lot of posts reels that are a heavy pro martyr view of Kirk. It’s very obvious that this narrative is being pushed. If my Reels are based on my algorithms I would not be seeing pro Kirk posts. So there is an active campaign to push the Christian, white married, martyr man narrative whether we are interested or not based on our viewing history. It’s grossly offensive the gaslighting enabled by Facebook.

By definition, a martyr has to choose to die rather than renounce his beliefs, usually religious beliefs. That was not the case with Kirk. If given a choice, he would have chosen not to be shot to death. That fate was only for other people in order to preserve the Second Amendment (minus the part about "well-regulated militias.")

How Trump and his ilk manipulate is vile. May their manipulations cause humans to adapt to become much better at discernment for their own well-being.

So they are even usurping your algorithm.

It appears so. reels are flooded with Kirk posts first to view and only viewed one or two to see what the narrative is, and the narrative was pro Christian martyr ironically pushing “exposing Epstein” reels I’d been watching out of the Reel bar. Interesting.

That in itself is a good sign...The 'obviousness' of it. I expected this kind of propaganda, I just can't get a read on whether its significantly convincing' so to speak

Meanwhile, Canada formally recognized the right of the Palestinian people to their own state. I have the sneaking feeling that Carney used the sturm und drang over the Kirk affair to allow this to go through without concerted opposition; the Canadian right is fully occupied kissing Trump's ass and tantruming over a dead fascist that not one in ten Canadians even know exists.

Not that this could ever happen but I think the best response to anything like the kirk killing in the future is for people on the left to do what trump does for tragedies affecting people who aren't his supporters...say nothing. Absolutely nothing. Giving them the silent treatment would infuriate the right.

They keep trying to find some "leftist" influence on Tyler Robinson. So far all they've been able to come up with is that he was influenced byCharlie's archrival Nick Fuentes .Robinson was most likely a Groypher. Another gang of idiot neo-Nazis who disliked Kirk because he wasn;t pure enough.

If Robinson had been a leftie, it would have been announced in a press conference by now, and broadcast all over the media, with Donnie Dbag himself howling about it on his Pravda Social platform, demanding that all creators of all content in the guy's browser history be jailed.

In reality, Ka$h will do what he can to keep the evidence that Robinson is a far-right nutbag from public disclosure.

(With the death penalty on the table, I wouldn't put it past Ka$h and Bondi to make him an offer he can't refuse, regarding what motives he admits to.)

It has already been announced by the radical right. Also, somehow it was a transgender man who did it. They radical-rightists are obsessed with that scenario. I guess they need a new scapegoat now that gay marriage did not destroy the nation, women's have lost the right even to make decisions about their own body, and trumpy has supposedly deported all the bad immigrants.

Tried to watch the Charlie Kirk memorial Suffered through the comparisons to JFK and MLK but when they started drawing comparisons to Jesus Christ had to turn it off Don't these "Christians" realize that is blasphemy? Did come back to Catch Trump. The lying was superb. Exceeded my expectations. Once more he implored the assembled crowd to "Fight, fight, fight!!" Remember what happened the last time he did that? Expect nothing good to come of it.

All major religions have started as cults. The Kristian right has devolved into one. As such, they get to define their own version of Christianity to be whatever they want.

Trump, Vance and Rubio in one place? That has to be a nightmare for the Secret Service. One well placed bomb could wipe out half the Trump administration. Doesn't the SS try to keep the President and VP separate so there would be continuity if government? But so much for the deification of Charlie, a man known for who he hated until Jesus who was known for who he loved,
