Fellow Mainer here. There just simply aren't enough people in the state. We desperately need to welcome some refugees!

It was by far the worst of all bureaucratic stuff to do with my fathers death.

The company we sell the solar electricity too was fun too, cause they said they don't do owner transfers in the middle of the year. It took a bit to get them to understand that they have too, because the bank account the money goes to will be soon no longer existing, since it was not a shared account and you can't keep someone elses, it has to be closed, and no, they will NOT wait a year.

Eventually they made an exception. It's a small, local electric company, since my county does have it's own grid (very exceptional), back from times when they national coverage was so shitty, that the town decided it has had enough. They workers are super nice, if you have any issue you know them by name, but I guess this particular problem wasn't something they had encountered yet.

The county has 3000 occupants. They might not have dealt with an inheritance yet where the account wasn't shared by someone, up untill then...
